Closet TRANSform Guidelines and Regulations
Student Life and First-Year Experience is proud to serve transgender and gender non-comforming students through our Closet TRANSform.
Clothing Selection Guidelines:
-Students can utilize the Closet services once per month.
-Once clothing items are selected, the Closet is not responsible for any items that shrink when washed.
-Students are free to donate items at the same time they select items from the Closet, but are not obligated to do so.
-Accessories (belts, hats, shoes, bags) are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
-It is strongly encouraged that students try on items before making their final selection.
-To ensure that as many students are served as possible, the number of items students may take at one time is limited. Such limits include:
- 3 tops and 1 bottom
- One pack of socks (if available)
- One pack of undergarments (if available)
- One chest binder or bra
- One heavy coat
- One full suit
-Students must schedule laundry time at least two days in advance
-A staff member of Student Life must accompany the student at all times; the staff member is not responsible for doing the student's laundry
-Students must provide their own laundry items (detergent, fabric softener, etc.)
-Student Life is not responsible for items that incur damage or shrink in the washer/dryer
